The removable cavity plate was made by Gape Due to speed up format changeovers. It is mounted to a fixed part equipped with bearings to facilitate its motion. In this way, the upper and lower cavity plates can be replaced directly under the press, without removing the mould.

• Option to quickly replace liners in the event of wear or breakage.
• Option to vary the tile thickness without adjusting the stroke limiters in the ejecting cylinders, when using SMF moulds.
• The cavity dimensions can be adjusted over a range of 20 mm.
• The geometry of the cavity can be varied from 90° to radiused corners, or from straight to profiled edges.
