Calibra mould
The Calibra isostatic mould enables the production of textures of various depths.
The isostatic effect is provided by an upper isostatic plate and floating magnetic blocks under which the hydraulic fluid flows.
If the density of the ceramic material in the lower cavities varies, the principle of communicating vessels enables the oil to flow under the block which is required to apply more pressure, thus equalising the density in the mould cavities.
ADVANTAGES OF THE CALIBRA ISOSTATIC MOULD
- Optimised pressed material density.
- Possibility of producing textures of different depths, resulting in a monocaliber product.
- Reduced operating costs.
- Reduced stress on the press and ISO back face punches.
- Elimination of downtime and stoppages for shimming the upper good face punches and brackets.
