LD Liners
LD liners are equipped with special, highly wear- resistant carbide inserts.
The insert is applied in the area in which the tile is formed, and this ensures the liner lasts longer (millions of cycles).
The extreme surface cohesion of the carbide ensures that no ceramic powder adheres to the liners, and that the edges of the tiles are perfectly clean and clearly-defined, without the ‘tearing’ due to soiling typically incurred by conventional liners. This guarantees a high yield of first choice tiles compliant with the cavity plate dimensions, which do not need to be rectified – thus saving money.
The long life of the liners reduces the number of mould changes on the press due to liner wear, thus reducing the investment in the stock of replacement liners.
They are particularly suited for use as interchangeable liners on contact cavity plates. Their long service life and ease of assembly make them highly advantageous for companies without nearby regeneration workshops.
