ISO upper plate
The magnetic isostatic plate consists of a hydraulic upper plate, into which the cavities for the upper magnetic blocks are machined.
Between each block and the plate is a layer of pressurised oil, so each individual block floats relative to the isostatic plate.
Thanks to the incompressibility of the oil, any unevenness in the pressure on the plate from the press strut is compensated for by the fluid, which is able to move from one block to the other via ducts between the isostatic floating block cavities.
It is format-specific, for use in conjunction with entry punch moulds.
ADVANTAGES
- Optimised pressed material density.
- Reduced stress on the press and ISO back face punches.
- Elimination of downtime and stoppages for shimming the upper good face punches and brackets.
- Reduced installation time for ISO back face punches.
